Vertu's Smartest Phone Yet - Angeleno Magazine

Forget smart phones. Those British designers over at Vertu have been at it again, and their Signature Touch, launched this month, is more of a genius phone. And quite a looker. too. Think of a pocket-sized, Grade 5 titanium version of that monolith from “Space Odyssey” with hand-tooled cowhide leather backing. Add a 118 carat solid sapphire crystal screen for high-definition viewing and extra bling appeal. Then put in a Hasselblad-certified camera for gallery-worthy photos. Install Bang & Olufsen-tuned speakers with surround sound to give you less of an excuse to yell “what?” on a call, and you’ve got an enticing piece of jewelry you’re going to want to do a lot of talking to. Oh, and there’s one more thing: That “V” button in the end is your worldwide personal Jeeves. One touch brings international access to Vertus’ white-gloved personalized concierge service. So—say--you just landed in Sidney and need a seamstress for emergency work on your gown in time for the sold-out opera you still don’t have tickets to. Time to press that “V” button. We’d like to say that all this form and functionality comes easy, but that depends on whether you find forking over $10,300 for a phone easy. If so, think of it as an investment in a beautiful friend you’re going to go places with.
